  • For example, 7 patients are cared for at our clinics.

  • For example, 190 children are screened for malnutrition.

  • For example, 45 people receive consultations at mobile health clinics in remote villages.

Our impact

In 2000, inspired by the universal values of Buddhism, Matthieu Ricard founded Karuna-Shechen. Rooted in altruism in action, the organization supports marginalized communities in the Himalayan region so that they can take action, make decisions, and shape their own future.
